Economic Programmes
Agriculture The agriculture programme focuses on various types of farming including livestock (chickens, rabbits, piggery, cattle, sheep, ducks, goats, ostrich), medicinal cannabis, corn, cotton, fruit, tree nuts, sugar cane, vegetables, pulses, grains (wheat, lucerne, etc.), rice, soybeans, and oil crops. The objectives are job creation, economic reform, skills development, and cultural reform.
Agro-processing: This programme involves the processing of livestock (meat production, processed meats, canned meats, milk, dairy products), corn (cereals & samp; snacks, mielie meal, sweeteners & syrups, animal feed), medicinal cannabis (medicines & oils), textiles and fabric (cotton, textiles and fabric, medical use, soundproofing, insulation), fruits (juices, condiments, sweeteners, syrups, canned fruit), tree nuts (confectionery aids, nut butter, cooking oils), sugar cane (sugar, syrups, sweeteners, sugar beads, confectionery aids), vegetables (chips, starches, shakes, packaging), pulses (canned beans & peas, soups), grains (flour, animal feed, cereals, confectionery aids), rice (rice cakes, rice water), soybeans & oil crops (soups, patties, sausages, oils), and aquaponics/aquaculture (fish, canned fish, fish paste). The objectives are job creation, economic reform, and skills development.
Retail The retail programme includes informal stalls, shopping centres/malls, convenience stores, and pharmaceuticals. The objectives are land & buildings acquisition, design & construction, feasibility and viability studies, local authority approvals, infrastructure development (bulk/roads/electrification/water), marketing, standard operating procedures/guidelines, professional team, and waste management.
LOGISTICS This programme focuses on distribution centres, refineries, storage facilities, and transportation. The objectives are to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
ICT The ICT programme involves network infrastructure development, local ISP/telecoms provider, and infrastructure maintenance. The objectives are to improve connectivity and technological infrastructure.
